FuturEnergia is back – Take part to the first online

Dear teachers and educators,

Happy New Year!

FuturEnergia encourages new teaching and learning opportunities in the field of energy and sustainable development.

In 2011, FuturEnergia will:

  • Encourage schools to organise local events and register them on the FuturEnergia website. The best events will be selected and attended by an expert in Energy!
  •  Invite schools to participate to online debates with experts of the field.

Futurenergia is now launching the first online debate for 2011:

Theme: “Educating schools on energy – what is the future of energy ducation in Europe?”

Experts: Paul Xuereb, Malta; Cveto Fendre, Slovenia; experts in energy education.

Date: 24/01/2011
Time: 15:00 CET

Context:

The European Union’s 2020 strategy focuses on smart, sustainable and inclusive economy delivering high levels of employment, productivity and social cohesion. What is the role of schools and teachers in supporting the European Union’s ambitious 2020 goals through energy education and how can energy education further be developed?”
